Ed Sullivan Shows - Featuring The Beatles (DVD - 2-disc)

These were to be the only live performances they ever did for American TV and the last they ever did anywhere in the world. Such was their impact, that a couple of months later in April 1964 The Beatles held all of the top 5 spots in the US singles chart, a feat that has never been repeated.

These are the complete Ed Sullivan Shows from these four dates and feature a number of other acts including Tessie O'Shea, Georgia Brown & the cast of "Oliver" (including a young Davy Jones of the Monkees fame!), Mitzi Gaynor, Acker Bilk, Morecambe & Wise, Cab Calloway and Cilla Black. Also included are the original sponsors adverts and various comedy and novelty acts, which all combine to give a real feel for the era in which The Beatles conquered America.
